Our Mission

The Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia is dedicated to promoting the compassionate treatment of animals in our community through adoption, public spay/neuter services, sheltering and education.

Our animal shelter provides these animals with food and general medical care that includes spaying and neutering, micro-chipping, core vaccines and hope for a happy and healthy future through our Adopt a Pet program. HSSCG is unique because we are the only no-kill animal shelter in our area that is 100% donor-funded. We do not receive government funding or financial support from the Humane Society of the United States.

We serve the surrounding community of Brunswick, Darien, Eulonia, Jekyll Island, Sapelo Island, St. Simons Island and Sea Island. We also serve pet owners in Glynn county and surrounding counties such as Brantley, Camden and McIntosh.
